1. Patong Beach, Phuket

Patong beach is most probably the most popular beach in the whole of Thailand. This beach has a wide variety of activities and nightlife. Like every other popular beach of Thailand, Chaweng also boasts of a brilliant nightlife, hosts of restaurants and bars, and a lot of watersports. Almost all of KohSamui’s dive shops are based in Chaweng Beach, and there are a lot of diving points near this beach.

3. Maya Bay, near Koh Phi Phi

Maya Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole of Thailand. While the beach is not exactly located on Koh Phi Phiisland, it is just a short ferry ride away from the island. The Maya Bay was made famous by the Leonardo DiCaprio movie, The Beach, which was shot here. Many tourists visit Koh Phi Phi only to see this beach itself. The bay boasts of a diverse marine life which makes it a favourite spot for snorkelers.

4. Railay Beach, near Krabi

Visiting Railay Beach can only be described as an otherworldly experience. The longstanding limestone rocks full of lush green dense trees look just like they have come out of the movie Avatar. Isolated from the mainland, the Railay Beach is only accessible by boat, and you can easily reach here by taking a short boat ride from Krabi Island. This is a paradise for adventure lovers, and you can go sea kayaking, diving, snorkelling or jungle trekking if you want. However, the most famous activity to do in Railay is to go rock climbing. The rocks of Railay are all limestone and it is part of the world’s largest coral reef. The vistas atop are breathtaking, and it is one of the most incredible places you can visit in Thailand.
