Five tips include talking to a professional at someplace like a travel clinic in advance of your journey, making sure that you take your medication with you, getting healthy before you leave, resting and taking breaks if you’re on a long journey, and being careful with new foods at your destination (food poisoning is the worst).

If you’re going to be in a car for a long time, you want to keep your physical and emotional health in check. This will prevent muscle cramps and jitters, and will also keep road rage down for the driver. Every few hours, pull over and stretch!

Be Careful With New Foods

When you’ve gotten to your vacation spot, especially if you’re in a different country, be very careful with new food. If your gut biome doesn’t gel right away with the stuff that can be in food in a new location, you can easily end up with food poisoning or some serious belly grumbles.
